Up and Coming Music

Todays choices, are a pretty odd mix. But more importantly, it's a battle, between not one, not two, but all four members of Fall Out Boy.

First up-

Patrick Stump:

Patrick, the lead singer of (now on hiatus) Fall Out Boy, has taken the path of the solo career, focusing on a more 'soulfull' sound than that of Fall Out Boy. Although Patrick has such a tremendously natural voice, we can't help but miss the epic Fall Out Boy tracks that still continue to get so much play time. Check out the song "Spotlight" (there are two versions) below, and let us know what you think of his direction.

Joe Trohman and Andy Hurley:

Joe Trohman and Andy Hurley, former guitarist and drummer from Fall Out Boy, have joined forces with Anthrax members Scott Ian and Rob Caggiano, with Keith Buckley and Josh Newton of Every Time I Die, to form the super group The Damned Things. A much harder sound than both Fall Out Boy and the sound of fellow FOB band member Patrick Stump, The Damned Things are a heavy metal/hard rock outfit.
Upon first hearing the debut single "We've Got a Situation Here", we can safely say, The Damned Things are not Damned at all. Check the embedded video below.

Pete Wentz:

The face of Fall Out Boy and all round media hog, Pete has taken possiblly the most unpredictable direction, fusing ska, regae, dance and brit pop/rock, to form the band The Black Cards. The band is made up of
Bebe Rexha- lead vocals, Pete Wentz- bass, vocals, Nate Patterson- lead guitar and Spencer Peterson- drums.
In our opinion, Wentz has taken on the less impressive musical route, but check the embedded video below to make your mind up.
