So we've been gone a while, I know, you've not known what to do with yourselves. It's been hard for us too, what with all the tech, gadgets and games we've missed out on. So, where the hell have we been?
Well, I was sick for most of the time, pretty bad bug (no, not man-flu), and I've also been attending to the "re-doing" of my home theatre, which will be a new feature in T.B.I.Y soon.
But most of my time has been spent playing the onslaught of games that I own. From SNES, Mega Drive, Gameboy, PS1, N64, Dreamcast, PC, Xbox, Gamecube, PS2, all the way to PS3 and Xbox 360 games - it's been a blast!
Some treats that I grew up with that I truly loved, like Metal Gear Solid on the PSone, have not aged all too well aesthetic wise, but still play like the legends they are. The moment a guard becomes alerted to your presence in MGS is still gripping, and the first chance you get to use the ridiculous disguise of a cardboard box is still, after all this time, utterly wonderful.
Then there's the ever awesome Donkey Kong Country on the SNES, which is still a great looking and damn fun (if insanely difficult) platformer, even today.
But that's not all, since the downfall of OnLive, I figured I'd give it another go before it changed in the buyout. And you know what? I wish I'd given the service a better chance when I first started using it a while a go. The ability to play full console games on my Sony Tablet S is pretty cool, and paired with my 360 controller, it makes playing them incredibly easy.
