Pokemon Proposition [update]

Well, the journey of our dreams has come to an end. Today, we received a response from Nintendo, and it seems our idea for a Pokemon Digital Trading Card game on iOS has been declined.

"Hello,

Although we appreciate your interest in sharing your ideas for a digital Pokemon trading card game, we are unable to pass along or accept unsolicited ideas for legal reasons. For more information, please visit the following address:

[removed for legal reasons]

Also, be sure to check our website's What's New section (http://www.nintendo.com/whatsnew) regularly for all the latest information and announcements regarding our products.

Sincerely,

Shawn Ford
Nintendo of America Inc."

Is this the end of our dream? Heck no, we shall still keep fighting, so show your support and vote in the poll!

Tech Beever BrainWave: The Pokemon Proposition [update]

Well, both Apple and Nintendo have been contacted, so now we play the age old waiting game.
We really think this could work (you can read all about 'this' here(pt1) and here(pt2) if you don't know already!)
But what do you guys think? Do you want to see our Pokemon Digital Trading Card game idea on iOS? Would you be willing to buy your cards via iTunes/App Store?

As always, let us know in the comments below, and don't forget to vote on the Pokemon Proposal poll!

Tech Beever BrainWave: Part 2: The Pokemon Proposition

If you were reading yesterday, you would have witnessed the most amazing idea since man decided to put doors on walls. Yes, the Tech Beever Brainwave Pokemon Proposition. What does that entail then? Well, you can read the whole thing here, but essentially, we want Pokemon digital trading cards on iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch (not necessarily that platform, Android etc would be cool too, but Apple is the obvious choice in terms of users, iTunes, App store etc). Today, you can see yet more mock ups, this time of user interface on both iPhone and iPad.

Pressing the Pokeball will take you to the Pokemon Digital Trading Card Homescreen

From here, you can access your card collection, link up with friends to trade cards,
head online to see who's playing/trading, search for your friends, chat to people,
buy cards via in app purchase, battle with people, edit your profile,
and connect via Gamecenter and Facebook

Choosing your cards for battle brings up your chosen card, with the option to
return to your collection, or choose yes/no

The battle screen is one giant table, with your health points, card collection, attacks, energy cards, and chat and home buttons nested on the bottom,
whilst your opponents moves are brought up automatically on the top when they make a move/chose a card.

Taking your battles with you is easy, as you can easily sync your collection to your iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch with ease.
This also allows you and your friends to challenge each other
or make trades wherever you are.

Well, that's part 2 of our Pokemon Proposition. We contacted Apple yesterday, so hey, you never know, the impossible might happen, and we could see our dream realised!
Want to help? Glad you do! You can vote on our poll, and when we say vote, we mean "get your friends, family, their friends, their family, their friends, their family, on behalf of your pets, their pets, their friends' pets and so on, because we need thousands of thousands of votes guys. So get on it folks!

Tech Beever BrainWave: Part 1: The Pokemon Proposition

Poke-fever has hit the Tech Beever team, but in all honesty, we genuinly feel the franchise is wasted on the DS. Don't get us wrong, we love the games, but it's not all about the RPG games, what about the trading cards?
Well, that's where Tech Beever Brainwaves comes in. You see, we've been talking it over, and, although it'll never happen, imagine a digital Pokemon trading card game on your iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch...

Yes, yes, we know there was a trading card game on the GameBoy Color, but stay with us. Imagine being able to buy your cards via iTunes, battling friends over GameCentre, being able to trade your cards with each other, maybe some Facebook integration, with the added luxury of scrolling through your collection Cover Flow style. We're honestly drooling at the prospect.
So much so, that we've created a few little mock-ups of what could entail. Below, you'll find our dreams of Pokemon Digital Trading Cards on iPad and iPhone 4. No in-game footage, obviously.

Our little iPhone 4 Advert, if you look close, the tittle over the 'i' is actually a Poke-ball
Well, we've copyrighted the fundamental ideas, so now we're now going to put the idea to both Apple and Nintendo, and if they care about us, they'll listen...
