Mortal Kombat 9 is the latest to join the MK series, but is it the reboot we've been waiting for?
Tech Beever has had a hands on with the game, and it certainly lives up to the hype. MK takes the series back to the original style, only now with 3D fighters on a 2D plane.
It's as gory as ever, with characters gradually getting bloodier through the battles. An exciting addition to gameplay, is the x-ray moves, upon filling a three bar metre, the character can release a devistating, bone crunching move. You have to see it to witness the awesome-ness, but trust us, it's epic.
Fatalities are as good as ever, although still tricky to pull off. All in all, Mortal Kombat is the reboot the franchise needs, so come April, we hope it gets the commercial success it deserves. We'll bring you a full review as soon as we can, so stay tuned!
